Decoy Dancer was founded by a couple of avid waterfowlers who were unsatisfied with some of the currently available products. Our goal was simple: Manufacture products that produce results in the field.

The first product that you see on our website is the Decoy Dancer motion stand. This motion stand came about out of the increasing frustration we have personally experienced of birds "not buying the spread." As waterfowl have increased in numbers and grown wiser and more experienced, we realized that paying attention to details (concealment, decoy placement, etc.) were becoming increasing critical factors. However, we learned through our field-testing that on many days movement was the single biggest factor that determined success or failure in the field.

This became particularly evident to us when we exhibited geese flaring off of stuffers! At that point we became absolutely convinced that movement was an area that held a lot of promise for hunters faced with tough, late season birds. While technology has greatly improved in other areas of waterfowling (blinds, decoys, guns, etc.) decoy movement has largely been ignored.

As a result, several years ago we began designing and field-testing a variety of motion products that would provide the lifelike, wind activated movement that we were looking for. The result of years of research and testing is the Decoy Dancer motion stand.
